My experiences as a print and electronic journalist, a freelance multilingual translator, and a copywriter in an international new media setting make me a unique asset for any project. I am a native Danish speaker with a near-native fluency in English. I am also fluent in German and possess excellent comprehension of Swedish, Norwegian and French, all of which I can translate to English and Danish. My fresh perspective on the European and American markets with a special focus on arts and culture stems from many years working in the competitive world of guerilla marketing.

I was born in the northern part of Jutland in Denmark in 1984, where I lived until I graduated High School in 2003. I moved to Copenhagen to attend the University of Copenhagen (BA in Comparative Literature, 2007; MA, also in Comparative Literature, 2010). The bulk of my academic writing has been on American literature and culture.

I am currently a PhD student at the Scandinavian Section of the University of California at Los Angeles, where I am an Osher Fellow. My academic research areas include Scandinavian migration to the United States, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and musical subcultures in the 20th and 21st centuries.

In addition to my work as a writer and translator, I have been a performing musician for the better part of the last decade, touring and performing across Europe.
